Serbian Man Faces Drug Trafficking Charge After Mosta Crash
A 38-year-old Serbian national residing in St Paul's Bay has been charged with drug trafficking after police discovered a range of substances in his motorcycle following a collision in Mosta on 24 September.
Milos Miletic was being treated in hospital for injuries sustained after his motorcycle struck a van when officers searched the vehicle's compartment and found cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, and the psychotropic substance 2B-B. Prosecutors allege the drugs were not for personal use and that trafficking was underway at the time of the accident. Miletic pleaded not guilty to all charges, which also include riding without a valid insurance policy.
His defence did not seek bail, instead requesting that he receive adequate medical care for his injuries. The court, which remanded him in custody, recommended that the necessary treatment be provided. Credits: TVM News
