Msida Council Accuses Infrastructure Malta of Failing to Consult
Msida Local Council has accused Infrastructure Malta of repeatedly failing to consult it over parking restrictions tied to the Msida Creek Project, with Mayor Charles Selvaggi saying councillors often find out about changes only from residents.

Around 164 parking spaces have been removed since works on the Msida Creek Project began, including 20 spaces in Triq il-Wied that were taken out earlier than expected. A temporary car park has been offered in Triq Clarence, but the council said this does not address the shortage caused by the removals.
Selvaggi stressed that informing the council a day before spaces are removed does not amount to consultation. He said residents have already endured years of noise, dust and disruption linked to the project, and remain uninformed about upcoming changes.
Infrastructure Malta confirmed that the removals form part of the project's traffic arrangements but did not respond to the council's complaints about communication.
