Malta's Beppe Joins 16 Nations Ahead of Junior Eurovision

Delegations from all 16 countries taking part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 have arrived in Malta, including the island's own 11-year-old representative, Beppe.

Delegations from all 16 participating countries have arrived in Malta as the island prepares to host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Among them is Malta's own representative, 11-year-old Beppe, who checked into the official participants' hotel today to begin what promises to be an intense week ahead of the contest.

Beppe secured his place on the stage after winning The Voice Kids Malta. He will perform his entry, Blue Bird, as the ninth act of the evening, competing on home soil in front of a live audience and a global online viewership.

The contest itself is set for Saturday 24 October at 9pm. Voting opens on Friday 23 October via jesc.tv, and Maltese viewers will be permitted to cast votes for their own country, a rule that sets Junior Eurovision apart from the senior contest.

The final result will be split equally between national jury votes and public online votes, each carrying 50 per cent of the total score.
