Gunman Opens Fire Near Paris Killing 1 and Injuring 4

The shooting took place across two locations near Paris, Trappes and La Verrière, with the gunman firing from a moving vehicle. One person was killed and four others were injured in the attack.

Witnesses described hearing multiple shots fired within seconds. One account suggested the weapon used was an automatic firearm, possibly a Kalashnikov.

The suspect, a 39-year-old man, was subsequently arrested and taken into police custody.
