Breaking Bad Actor RJ Mitte Dies Aged 34

RJ Mitte, who played Walter White Jr. in Breaking Bad, has died at the age of 34. No cause of death has been disclosed.

Mitte's representative confirmed the news, describing his passing as a profound loss.

Mitte was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of 3. He drew on his own lived experience to bring authenticity to his role in Breaking Bad, a drama widely regarded as one of the greatest television series ever made. His performance helped raise awareness of the condition on a global scale.

Beyond acting, Mitte was a committed advocate for disability representation in the film and television industry. He served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children's, and led the Mitte Foundation, his own charitable organisation focused on challenging stereotypes around disability.

He was also engaged to his long-term partner, Kennedy Suarez.

At the time of his death, Mitte had been actively promoting his upcoming film Talking to Strangers and had several projects in various stages of production.
