4 Arrested Over Pickpocketing in Valletta
Four Romanian nationals have been arrested over an alleged pickpocketing operation targeting people in Valletta, following a joint police operation earlier this week.
Interior Minister Glenn Bedingfield announced the arrests via social media, describing the operation as the interception of a criminal circle. The operation was carried out jointly by the Valletta Police and the Criminal Investigation Unit.
According to initial reports cited by Bedingfield, the criminal activity is believed to have begun last Monday, with the four individuals identified and taken into custody by Thursday.
