Full-time · Malta
On-Screen Creator
Be one of the faces of SideStreet: front news explainers, culture, lifestyle and brand work, and help decide what we make.
What this is
We're looking for someone to be one of the faces of SideStreet. You'd front our news explainers, lifestyle pieces, creative projects and branded work for clients like Lidl, Bolt and MeDirect. It's more than a presenter job. You'd help decide what we make and how we make it, as well as appearing on camera.
What you'd actually do
- Front videos across news, culture, lifestyle and brand work, in the studio and out around Malta
- Pitch ideas: stories you think people should know about, and angles nobody else is taking
- Talk to people on camera: vox pops, interviews and explainers
- Work with our writers and videographers on scripts, hooks and edits
- Look at how our content performs, and figure out why some posts land and others don't
Who we're looking for
- You follow what's happening in Malta and you care about it
- You have a take on things and you're comfortable saying it on camera
- You're confident and natural in front of a lens. Experience helps but isn't required
- You come with ideas, not just opinions
- You watch a lot of content and think about what makes it work
- Fluent in Maltese and English. This one is a requirement
What you get
- A platform that reached 10.6M accounts in the last 90 days (29.6M views, 173K followers)
- A small team where your ideas actually get made
How to apply
Send us:
- Your CV, or a few lines about yourself saved as a PDF or Word document
- Links to your socials or anything you've made, if you have them
- A 60-second video of yourself talking about something happening in Malta right now, in Maltese, English or both. Film it on your phone. It doesn't need to be polished.
The form takes videos up to 45 MB. A minute of phone video is often bigger than that: record at 720p or 1080p rather than 4K, trim it, or upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and paste the link in the showreel field instead.
