Yorgen Fenechs Lawyer Attempts to Bribe Times Of Malta Journalist

Gianluca Caruana Curran, one of the two lawyers on Yorgen Fenech’s defense team has allegedly attempted to bribe Times Of Malta journalist Ivan Martin with a couple of €500 notes.

Journalist Ivan Martin says he rejected the money which was physically handed to him by lawyer Gianluca Caruana Curran towards the end of a meeting in Valletta.

“I cannot be sure how many notes he handed as I didn't unfold them. I handed them back to him and told him I couldn't accept payment. I also informed them that I only get paid from Times of Malta, and that he should not do that again going forward.”

Both parties can confirm to have met, seemingly to open a line of communication which would facilitate more accurate and impartial reporting about the Daphne Caruana Galizia Case.

“He told me time costs money. But I did not accept the money and the meeting ended there,”
