The Police investigation into the murder of a decomposed man found in the boot of his car has been successful in identifying its prime suspect in the investigation.
The prime suspect in the murder of 62-year-old Mario Farrugia has been named as Elliott Busuttil. Busuttil is alleged to have been a close associate of the murder victim and the two are believed to have been engaged in a financial dispute prior to the murder.
The man identified already has links to a previous murder attempt, drug crimes and eye witness accounts have linked him to riding in the same car that the victim was found dead in. The man’s previous attempted murder case also consisted of a stabbing incident. The victim police are trying to link this suspect to was killed by being stabbed over 40 times.
