The Malta women’s national team have completed a record breaking UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 qualifications campaign after defeating Israel 2-0 at the Ramat Gan Stadium, in Tel-Aviv.
Malta finished their campaign in 4th place with a record 10-point tally in Group B, the highest number of points ever gained by the women’s senior side in a qualifying campaign at any stage.
Unfortunately, the win wasn’t enough to qualify for the Euro 2022, but the team’s campaign shows a lot of promise for the future.
