Former prime minister Joseph Muscat has said he doesn’t exclude a return to politics, in his first interview to the press since he resigned in disgrace 19 months ago.
“If they keep annoying me, I will not exclude it,” he told Times of Malta in a revealing new interview set to be released in two parts, today and Sunday.
47-year-old Muscat did rule out making a bid for party leader or contesting the upcoming general election, however.
“I see a chorus of people supporting me. While others might share different views, in the last weeks I’ve seen an unprecedented number of people supporting me. In reality, it’s irrelevant. I still feel the people’s love.” Muscat said.
