Malta is expected to receive the first COVID-19 vaccines by the first week of 2021 Health Minister Chris Fearne told Times of Malta in an interview published today.
Fearne said the European Medicines Agency was carrying out very detailed studies of the vaccine, with trials showing it offers up to 95% protection against COVID-19 virus
500,000 vaccinations from Pfizer/Biontech will be made available to Malta over a period of months, with the vulnerable, the elderly and frontliners being eligible to receive it first .
