Birkirkara Player Says He Was A Victim Of Racial Abuse

Birkirkara FC striker Paul Mbong has accused a Senglea player of using racially abusive language against him during a heated exchange last Sunday.

The incident resulted in Mbong being sent off with a red card in the late stages of the crucial match.

In a post on his Facebook page, Mbong said that he was sorry for leaving his team with ten men but lashed out at an unnamed Senglea player, accusing him of racially abusing him.

Senglea F.C have since issued a public statement denying the accusations.
